Mike Baur grew up in Switzerland himself in Fribourg, where he still holds roots to this day. Mike found an interest in finances when he was very young, which started him on a long and successful journey that ended in banking. Mike spent decades in the banking industry after earning his degrees in Business Administration from the University of Rochester. Mike also studied at Bern University and earned his BMA. Despite all of this and his executive positions at leading private banks in Switzerland, Mike went on to co-found the Swiss Startup Factory. His desire to test his own business capabilities and help others achieve there was a strong motivator and Mike regularly travels to speak on his experience and industry expertise. Since starting up in 2014, the Swiss Startup Factory has been successfully expanding its ventures around the glove thanks to Mike’s efforts, and the company remains one of the leading private startup companies in Switzerland.
